OCTOBER | Plans, Goals & Wishes

Why helllooo there. September was a busy month for me – September marked the end of my Summer break before my final year of uni and it also marked the end of my FriendsFest experience and the constant loop of ‘I’ll Be There For You’ I was subject to on a daily.

I’m excited for October, the month where Autumn is finally out in full force – I’m excited for all things jumpers, leaves and hot chocolates. I start my final year of uni this month which I’m incredibly excited for; Halloween is coming up as well as my lovely blogger sibling Sophia’s birthday – you can find her blog by clicking right here.

Plans

Final year

My time at drama school is very nearly at an end and I’m almost ready to enter the real world and I cannot wait. Soon enough I won’t have to write another essay ever again. Waheeeeey. But I will have to learn how to adult like a fully functioning grown up. Booooooo.

BFI London Film Festival

This month, I am working as a production runner for the BFI London Film Festival 2017. I am helping with all the sponsored gala events on the red carpet at the Odeon in Leicester Square. Carey Mulligan has brushed shoulders with me whilst wearing a beautiful Gucci dress. Just saying.

Royal Court Theatre

In late October, I start my placement at the Royal Court Theatre on their production of Goats, written by Liwaa Yazji, at the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, directed by Hamish Pirie. You can find out more information about the show by visiting the Royal Court’s website by clicking here.

Goals

  1. Start going to the gym regularly – I have recently joined the local gym and I want to start trying to go at least a couple of times a week. After going on Sunday, I realised a) how unfit i am and b) how good I actually felt after going.
  2. Start saving – During my final year of drama school, I’m trying to save up as much money as I can, just in time for adulting in the real world once I finish uni. I have realised that one of my fully fledged adult goals is to own a house at some point and the sooner I save the sooner the house becomes a reality.
  3. Start learning to drive – October is the month where I want to finally start some driving lessons so I am not forever a bus wanker and constantly getting lifts off parents/friends/anyone who will take pity on me. Also I am yet to live the new driver dream of going through the McDonalds Drive Thru for the first time, so there’s that.

Wishes

£8.44

Amazon

Since drafting this post, I have actually already bought this book and essentially read the whole thing in a day then went to the gym. Sarah Knight is a goddess.

£12

Primark

They’re pretty. And cheap. That is all.

£20

Asos

This stationery set is just beautiful. Almost too beautiful. I can envisage buying this and never bringing myself to write in it. If you, like me, are a perfectionist when it comes to this stuff, worst comes to worst we can use this as a display on our desks.

What are your plans for this month?

OMG! You have to take a picture of yourself going through the McDonald’s drive thru once you get your license! That’s so great! And the BFI Film Festival sounds amazing! Sounds like you’re going to have a good October. 🙂
